Support Kubernetes Downward API via Qovery Environment Variables

Hello Qovery,

At the moment, Qovery does not provide a way to pass in dynamic values such as pods name, pod IPs and other container associated information as environment variables.

These container informations can be pulled using Downward API | Kubernetes.

If you have an alternative or recommendation for passing dynamic values as environment variables, please share.

thanks for your feedback.

For now, we don’t have any alternative to propose. I have added the idea in our product backlog but I can’t give you an ETA.

Which of the Pod/Contaienr information are important for you right now?

right now, it’s hostIP, podIP and podName.
