Question regarding Datadog integration

INFORMATION

Hello , we are trying to implement Datadog to monitor our Qovery applications currently running, we have a local datadog instance working with Docker and were wondering how to add one to Qovery.
We came accross this tutorial but since we are not very well versed on Kubernetes, we would like to ask if it is possible to add it via another way?

Relevant information to this issue:

  • databases: MongoDB
  • Programming language and version: Python / NodeJS

Hi @mmc972 ,

Thanks for asking. There is no yet one single click Datadog install at the moment but that’s something we are working on.

What you can do instead of connecting to your Kubernetes cluster is installing Datadog by using the Qovery Lifecycle Jobs.

This tutorial explains how to deploy helm charts with Lifecycle Jobs.

If it’s not clear enough we can probably update the Datadog tutorial to explain how to do it via Lifecycle Jobs.

Please let me know what you think

I ended up not following the Lifecycle Job route to try my hands on Kubernetes but a tutorials would be nice indeed !

While I’m there, a tutorial regarding a Newrelic integration similar to datadog’s would also be incredible
