Most cost-effective instance type for lots of pods

AWS docs:

Since each pod is assigned its own IP address, the number of IP addresses supported by an instance type is a factor in determining the number of pods that can run on the instance.

There is also this guide to determine how many pods can run o a particular instance type. Did anyone look into this to find what is the most cost-effective instance type for deployments with a lot of pods under low usage?

Hi @prki, I let @Pierre_Mavro respond to this question since I risk missing some precious information here.
