When I try to create a new service for my environment, there are now a few new options for adding databases, including Elasticsearch. But if I select it and then choose either container or managed mode then the database type selector only includes MySQL, PG, Redis, and Mongo, so it seems like it doesn’t actually work. Am I doing something wrong? This would be really nice, I’m currently having a hard time managing the ES install I set up myself.
Hi @aubrey,
Thanks for raising a thread on this. If I understand correctly, do you want to deploy an Elasticsearch instance? Do you want to deploy a container or a managed one?
Thank you
Yep, I want to deploy an Elasticsearch database, and I’d prefer a container one.
In that case, you can simply deploy the official Elasticsearch container image.

Just to get back to your initial post, I know it’s confusing right now , you clicked on
new service
> Elasticsearch
, and you ended up with… Nothing It’s because this part is under complete revamp from our team.
So, in the meantime, you need to deploy the Elasticsearch container.
Do you need assistance with this?
