Qovery already allows the creation of managed redis-clusters on ElastiCache. It would be nice to also have managed memcached-clusters.
HI @FlorianSuchan , indeed, it would be possible to easily create a memcached cluster with Qovery when we’ll have launched our feature “Service Catalog”. In the meantime, you can do it via the Lifecycle Jobs. Do you need some help?
@rophilogene just came accross this convo - service catalog seems to be implemented any news on creating memcached clusters?
Hi @FlorianSuchan, do you plan to self-host memcache or use a managed service? Is it for production purposes?
@rophilogene Self-managed (prod)
Since qovery officially supports helm chart deployment. Your best bet is using the Memcached helm chart
Are you familiar with it?
@rophilogene roughly with the concept, but I’ve never worked with it myself. Do you have a how-to guide at hand? I’d definitely test it (on a staging cluster first)
@FlorianSuchan you have the documentation of Helm support here: Helm | Docs | Qovery
And you have a complete guide here with Kubecost:
You also have a tutorial with Datadog:

Does that help, or do you want me to go deeper? We can also jump on a quick call
Hi Romaric, sorry for the late response: Need to come back to you on this in a few weeks, we’ve got a few higher prio topics right now. Thanks for the resources, will check!
