Want to know if this is possible with Qovery

Hey Everyone!

So I’m new here and to all the services something like Qovery offers.
So I have an idea, I’ve coded t his in Python and will keep iterating on it but it is in a good beta testing state. However, I wish to sell this product and I was hoping that with Qovery it would be possible to:

1: Have my code run on Qovery on the backend and the users only see the UI or terminal, thus protecting the code.

2: Have it host the code but it links to a hidden or encrypted whitelist that I can update.

3: Some other way to host the code while keeping it protected from people simply just buying and then giving or reselling it.

Is this possible with Qovery? If so I would like some direction if possible. It would be very much appreciated!

Now I know there is no be all end all solution for protecting the codebase and that is fine but I would like to make it harder than just “Right-click → Open in Notepad++” You know? So if that is possible, please let me know how either with this service or if you have any recommendations I would be open to it.
Any help will be welcome and appreciated!

Best,
Jazzy

EDIT: Someone said this might be possible in WINFORM APPS but they are not sure. So if you think that might be an avenue let me know as well.

Hello @jazzyfaux ,

I’ll ask the team if we can help you on this topic.

I’ll get back to you soon with more information,

@jazzyfaux ,

We have some questions for you.

Do you have access to Qovery? Can you send me the link to your organization please?

We have some tutorials on how to deploy an application using Qovery, here is an example with a Rust API. Does it fit your need?

In this documentation on how to configure Cloudflare with Qovery, you will find information on how to whitelist users. Is this relevant for you?

Charles-Edouard

Okay! Thanks so much! I will look into this but I just didn’t know if it was possible and have not committed to using Qovery yet as I wasn’t exactly sure what service it was providing. Let me get through these resources, but thank you so much!
