Getting error while deleting aws elastic cache

We have implemented aws elastic cache but we are not using that so want to delete it for now. While deleting I am getting below error

Error: deleting ElastiCache Subnet Group XXXX: CacheSubnetGroupInUse: Cache subnet XXX is currently in use by a cache cluster.
│ status code: 400, request id: xxxxxx

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hello,

You can leave the subnet of elasticache. We pre-create them with the cluster to avoid any delay when creating a new elasticache.
There is no arm in letting it, it does have any extra cost also
